VN IB Academy was founded by Mr. Tran Khiem Bao, a graduate with dual degrees in Chemistry and Economics from the University of California Davis (ranked 28th among US National Universities).
He currently serves as an academic advisor at Unimates Education, a leading reputable study abroad consultancy in Vietnam, helping students navigate their study options overseas and career paths.
With over 10 years of teaching and interacting with numerous students, he has established VN IB Academy.
VN IB Academy is a top educational center in Ho Chi Minh City, and is currently an official partner of Unimates Education, the foremost study abroad consultancy in Vietnam. We specialize in providing international standard education programs:
IB, A-Level, IGCSE, AP, for students from secondary school to university completion.
In collaboration with Unimates Education, we offer a comprehensive service journey from teaching, school selection advice, application preparation, scholarship interview coaching, to applying to top universities. Our approach is not only that of an educator, but also that of a companion to students throughout their study abroad journey.

At VN IB Academy, we understand that studying abroad demands not only subject knowledge but also soft skills, a confident mindset, and thorough preparation. Therefore, we have developed a comprehensive study abroad advisory program to help students define their study abroad goals, create study plans, and accompany them throughout their study abroad process in their chosen country.
In particular, we offer supplementary courses outside of regular hours for international standard education programs: IB, A-Level, IGCSE, AP. Alongside this, we provide practical soft skills training to empower students for a smoother transition into the international education environment. The teaching team at VN IB Academy are not only subject matter experts but also mentors, companions, and inspires to students on their path to achieving their study abroad dreams.
We not only focus on knowledge transfer but also aim for comprehensive development of our students. We take pride in being a creative and motivating learning environment, where students are encouraged and supported to maximize their potential. Because more than anyone else, we understand the hesitation of international students when stepping into the international environment.
We are extremely proud to introduce a talented and hardworking student at VN IB Academy - Nguyen My Hai Ngoc. Hai Ngoc has become an indispensable part of the student community at the centre.
Hai Ngoc is currently a 9th-grade student at an Australian International School in Ho Chi Minh City. At present, Hai Ngoc is studying 4 subjects: Math, Science, Economics, and English A at VN IB Academy.
Ngoc's university goal is to enter the Top 20 US National Universities, majoring in Business.
Hai Ngoc has been studying at VN IB Academy since August 2022, which is when she transitioned from a public school to an international environment. Here, she is guided and advised on her learning path by Mr. Tran Khiem Bao – the co-founder and instructor at VN IB Academy.
Since starting at the centre, Hai Ngoc has demonstrated diligence and determination in pursuing knowledge and improving her academic abilities. Fortunately, despite the short time, she has already achieved two A grades in Maths and Science in her first semester at the Australian International School. With her current level, the centre is guiding her on choosing 6 IB subjects (3HL and 3SL) to optimize her university goal.
Sharing her learning experience with Mr. Bao, Hai Ngoc said: “Mr. Khiem enthusiastically helped me during exams. There was a time I asked him a question at 11 pm and he answered very thoroughly. After studying with him, my academic performance has improved significantly compared to before”. Ngoc also shared that studying at VN IB Academy has helped her develop self-study skills, teamwork skills, and time management skills. She feels more confident in solving problems and studying at school.
Not only does Mr. Bao helps and guides in studies, but he is also a reliable companion for Hai Ngoc. He is always ready to listen and advise her on every issue, from choosing subjects to selecting a suitable university. Furthermore, the teacher also helped Hai Ngoc develop important soft skills such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
With the support from the teachers and the centre, Hai Ngoc hopes to achieve good results in the upcoming IB exam and to progress further in the journey of learning and future career. She is also very grateful for the support and encouragement from family, friends, and teachers throughout her current study process, as well as in the future.
Hai Ngoc feels very happy and proud of the achievements she has made and will strive to achieve her goals. Studying at the Australian International School, along with the dedicated guidance from VN IB Academy, has opened up more opportunities for her to advance in education and future career.

We are very proud to introduce a talented and hardworking student at VN IB Academy - Nikhil Madhusoodhanan. Nikhil has become an indispensable part of the student community at the center.
Nikhil Madhusoodhanan is currently studying at the University of California, Santa Cruz, (ranked 83rd nationally and 7th among public universities in the US), majoring in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Currently, Nikhil is studying Chemistry, both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at VN IB Academy. Nikhil's ultimate goal is to graduate from the university program and start his career as a doctor.
Nikhil started studying at VN IB Academy about a year and a half ago. At that time, in his second year of the IB program, he joined Mr. Bao’s class about four months before the final exam. Nikhil’s mother found the center and the teacher through online search. When Nikhil contacted the teacher, he was struggling with academic issues and a heavy workload. Mr. Bao not only significantly improved Nikhil’s knowledge base and study habits but also provided a place for him to confide in about future issues and career direction. Nikhil even shared that his only regret was not enrolling in Mr. Bao’s class earlier, as it could have significantly increased his study efficiency.
Madhusoodhanan has successfully completed his first year at the University of California with an impressive 3.96 GPA (straight A in Math, Chemistry, and Biology). Under the guidance of Professor Bao, he consistently achieved A grades in all subjects, maintaining a high GPA, which helped him secure a spot on the Dean’s Honors List at the university.
Reflecting on his learning journey with Professor Bao, Nikhil enthusiastically shares: “Aside from being an excellent tutor, Professor Bao has proven to be a dedicated mentor throughout my college journey. He not only provides support in academic matters such as essay writing but also offers valuable advice on university processes. I consider him an outstanding mentor, a close friend, and a great advisor.“
Beyond academic assistance and guidance, Professor Bao is a reliable companion for Nikhil. He is always ready to listen and provide advice on various issues, from selecting courses to choosing the right university. Moreover, he helps Nikhil develop essential soft skills such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
With the support from professors and the center, Nikhil hopes to perform well in upcoming exams and advance further in his academic and future career journey. He is also grateful for the support and encouragement from family, friends, and teachers throughout his current academic journey and in the future.
